The end of November

What a great month Room 14 had! We participated in lots of fun activities and embarked on some great academic adventures! This coming month of December will be short and sweet, but we want to remember to keep good study habits as well as maintaining a strict reading schedule. 20 minutes or more a night is essential in your child's reading development, so please make sure they complete this task every night! In the homework folder this week we have a poem that will need to be memorized by your child, it's called "A Sled for Christmas". It is for our Winter Sharing assembly, which takes place on December 19th! This weeks spelling words deal with U, they are: up, fun, us, cut, but, run, jump, and plum. The key vocabulary words are car, down, hear, hold, hurt, learn, their, walk, and would. Please practice nightly with your child!

The end of a great month!

We had a lot of fun at our Halloween party and this week went great. We said good-bye to October and hello to November. Please remember your child's conference time this coming week and be aware that every day this week is a half day! This weeks spelling words are the hardest yet! Please make sure they are practicing them, they are: trip, crab, drip, grin, grab, trap, crack, and brown. This weeks key vocabulary words are: also, blue, brown, color, funny, green, like, many, and some. Be sure to read nightly with your child, it truly helps! If there are any problems with your conference time please contact me soon to make other arrangements and I hope everyone has a great November! To celebrate here are some new pictures!
